Originally named Shanghai FengPu Industrial Zone, which was founded in August 1995, Shanghai Comprehensive Industrial Development Zone is one of Shanghai's nine industria1 zones of the municipal degree. In April 2000, Shanghai Industrial Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. put an investment of l00 million RMB yuan to make joint efforts in the development and construction in FengPu District.
