Linkong Pudong Export-Oriented Agricultural Garden was approved by People¡¯s Government of Shanghai (the leading group office of constructing modern agricultural garden) on July 7th 2001. It has been brought into the management scope of municipal level modern agricultural park, as the replenishes and prolongs of Pudong Sunqiao Modern Agricultural Park.
Adjacent to the Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Linkong Export-Oriented Agricultural Garden, with a planned area of 10.38 square kilometers, is a branch garden of Shanghai Sunqiao Modern Agricultural Garden. The four-square-kilometer core area is well equipped with rivers, concrete roads, ditches, green belts, and draining and irrigation canals. The Outer Ring Road, the Yingbing Boulevard, Pudong magnetic-levitation high-speed train, the extended route of Subway II, and the East China Coastal Railroad under plan all cross the Garden, which enable the Garden to enjoy convenient transportation. It is 24km from the Lujiazui Financial Center, 18km from Waigaoqiao Harbor and Luchaogang Deep-water Harbor, 11km from Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, 21km from Nanpu Suspension Bridge, Yangpu Suspension Bridge and Xupu Bridge, 38km from Hongqiao Airport, and 28km from Shanghai Railway Station. All of this will offer the Garden huge human resources, logistics, capital flow and information, further your business.
The infrastructure of ¡°seven connections and one leveling¡± has been completed. With a centre area of 4 square kilometers, all the infrastructure facilities including river channel, road, ditch, greenery, drainage and irrigation system have been equipped completely.
Linkong Pudong Export-Oriented Agricultural Garden possesses outstanding manufacture condition. Blue sky, water clean, bank green, greenery form networks, superior ecology environment. The topography are level and soil is fertile. The land of the Garden mainly consists of sandy soil that retains fertility, holds water, and ventilates well with 7.6 ph. With warm climate and distinct seasons the yearly average temperature is 15.5oc; there is the ample annual sunshine which is 2078 hours; there is abundant rainfalls with 131rainfall days; examined by Shanghai Environment Monitor Station, the comprehensive pollution indexes of the irrigation water, soil, and air in the Garden are all up to the set standard, ideal for the development of green agricultural products and organic agricultural products.
Until the end of 2002, 14 domestic and foreign enterprises have settled down in the park with gathering various kind of investment amounting 101.05 million yuan. And planning, construction, partly going into operation in the same year, most of products export and earn dollars. 5 projects which have been started created billions of sales revenue. For example Linkong nongyi daguanyuan Co. Ltd., which complies with Japanese market products standard, exports perilla leaf to Japan. In 2003 Xincheng Food Co. Ltd., which is a state level company expanded its export vegetable base to 10,000 mu. 6 enterprises aiming at processing of food and circulation, processing, export of aquatic product have been settled in the park, such as Diqi, Guanhan, Guangli; a state-level agriculture industrialized enterprise¡ª¡ªFujian Chaoda Group which engages in the processing and export of organic vegetables have registered and settled in the Linkong Pudong Export-Oriented Agricultural Garden.
