23rd China Fisheries & Seafood Expo Opens in Qingdao

The 23rd China Fisheries & Seafood Expo opened at the Qingdao International Expo Center on November 7, 2018. Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen attended the Expo.  

The Expo attracted more than 1 500 exhibitors from 51 countries and regions across the world and 35 domestic and overseas delegations, among which, over 40% are foreign exhibitors or country pavilions. The exhibition area is beyond 100 000 square meters. It’s estimated that more than 30 000 professional visitors from over 100 countries and regions will visit the expo.

The Expo features fishing products, farmed products, aquaculture equipment and technology, processing, chilling and freezing equipment and systems for aquatic products. On-site processing of the aquatic products and tasting activities became the highlights at the expo. 

Prior to the Expo, Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen attended the Fishery Dialogue, met his counterparts from Canada, Sierra Leone, Ireland and Iceland and some ambassadors to China. They exchanged views on China’s and global fisheries development.
