| It takes three years for an agricultural product to make shift and be included on the list of organic products. During the three years the product must be flight-checked by the attestation organ annually and then it can only be regarded as “quasi-organic product”. At present, there are more than 40 organic agricultural products in Shanghai, and most of them are vegetables, rice and fruits. The Fengpu Vegetable Horticultural Garden in Fengxian District, the rice base of Qianjin Farm in Chongming, and the Zhaotun Strawberry Horticultural Garden in Qingpu have all achieved success in the shift. Currently, the planting area of organic agricultural products in the city has exceeded 10,000 mu.
