| In three years, the first city-level fishing harbor in Shanghai will be built on Changxing Island in Baoshan District. The annual trade volume of the harbor is expected to reach 200,000 tons, officials said yesterday at a news briefing on the symposium on fishery science. The two-day symposium, which opens today, will focus on industrial breeding of aquatic products since the natural resources are declining. Last year, the city reported 354,800 tons of output of aquatic products and the fishery output value was 4.92 billion yuan (US$592.77 million).
