China opens its market to Italian preserved meat, skin products
 

BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- China and Italy signed three agreements here Monday, officially agreeing to import preserved pork and animal hides from Italy.

The products covered in the agreements included cooked and preserved pork, cowhide, sheepskin and goatskin.

The three protocols were signed by Li Changjiang, director of the SAQSIQ, and Antonio Marzano, Italy's Minister of Industry (SAQSIQ).

"China's market is open to the Italian products upon the signing of the protocols and Italian producers can start to export the qualified products to China now," said Qi Xiuqin, deputy head of the international department under the SAQSIQ.
