With the help of physics, bio-degradation, and natural circulation technology, the western coast in Jinshan District, which is now muddy and disorderly, will be transformed into a golden “urban beach” encircling the blue sea waves. It was learned yesterday from the relevant department in Jinshan District of Shanghai that with the proceeding of the construction of the coastline of Jinshan, a beach-building project with a total investment of RMB0.29 billion yuan will be launched this month.

According to the sources from Jinshan District of Shanghai, “Urban Beach”, a public interest undertaking with a total investment of RMB0.29 billion yuan, will depend on seaside residential buildings as investment returns. In the future, the beach volleyball court, together with the Seaside Park and the Inline Skating Court, both of which are planned for construction, will constitute a complete seaside sports & leisure center. The International Volleyball Federation has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Jinshan District, according to which, the District will host 4 world-level beach volleyball games there in succession from 2005 to 2008.
