Songjiang Eden

Songjiang District residents will be able to smell the flowers from a new 202-hectare botanical garden by 2010. The facility will serve as a botanical research and education base under an agreement signed between Shanghai and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The garden will feature a comprehensive collection of osmanthus and serve to preserve species that are nearing extinction.
