A theatrical performance assembling the fine folk culture and art of Shanghai was recently put on at Shanghai Nanhui Cultural and ArtCenter. The “Work Song”, “Gong and Drum Performance”, and others, which are typical of Nanhui and exhibit the beauty of the folk art of the district, are the crucial point at the Shanghai National and Folk Culture Exhibition & Nanhui Cultural and Art Festival 2005, which is one of the programs of the Seventh Shanghai International Art Festival.
