The Research & DevelopmentCenter jointly funded by ShanghaiFlowerPort and the Belgium Derus Company Ltd. has been completed recently, which is a symbol that ShanghaiFlowerPort will develop new gardening varieties with its own intellectual property rights, apart from introducing flowers species from abroad.

It is learned that by next year, the FlowerPort will have had a production capacity of over 10 million pineapple seedlings for appreciation and the number will have reached 15 million by the following year, with the varieties of pineapples increasing to 150. In the future, the price of the pineapple seedlings will drop by 30-40 percent.
