An information city web featuring high speed, broadband connection, multimedia, huge capacity and interactive communication will soon be established in Songjiang District and by the end of this year each village in this district will have realized broadband connection. By 2010, the broadband access capacity at the village and township levels will have reached 100% and the household broadband access rate will amount to over 66%. All these were within yesterday’s Informatization Construction Framework Agreement signed between Shanghai Telecoms and the People’s Government of Songjiang District. Songjiang District will strive to enable its people to enjoy a convenient and highly efficient community life within 5 years based upon the advanced network technology and the diversified network application.
