Pudong New Area would conduct studies and research into seven topics to further implement its wide-ranging reform program, a meeting of the district government decided yesterday.
The topics include:
How to play a leading role in Shanghai's efforts to build itself into an international economic, financial, trade and shipping center;
How to advance the development of democratic political systems;
How to promote the new round of Pudong's development by making full use of the World Expo in 2010;
How to draw up a more innovative scheme for achieving comprehensive reforms;
How to better serve the Yangtze River Delta and the whole country.
Pudong Party Secretary Du Jiahao and the director of Pudong New Area Zhang Xuebing attended yesterday's meeting.
