Shanghai has made special efforts to target product quality and food safety.

Zhou Taitong, Shanghai Vice Major, will set up the campaign to implement the ideas raised during a televised meeting held by the State Council yesterday.

The campaign will start in September.

The city government has decided to set up a group to manage product quality and food safety problems.

Each district or county will establish groups to supervise the issues.
