On September 21, Shanghai Municipal Agriculture Commission and Municipal Tourism Administrative Commission jointly launched the 2007 “Excellent Shanghai” photographic theme competition - rural holiday photo exhibition. At the exhibition, chairmen of Shanghai Senior Photographers’ Association, Shanghai Bicycle-riders’ Tourism Association, and Shanghai Philatelic Association signed the letter of proposal calling on the citizens to tour the countryside on National Day holiday. Meanwhile, an award presentation for winners of “Rural Tourism Passport” was held. The rural holiday photo exhibition, respectively held at the Raffles City, Grand Gateway, and Shanghai Science & Technology Museum, started on September 7 and ended on October 14.
