Every Farming Household in Shanghai’s Baoshan District Has a Family Doctor

Recently, the rural families in Lianhe Village and Tianping Village of Shanghai’s Baoshan District, which totaled nearly 1,000 in number, signed a Letter of Health Care Responsibility on Rural Family Doctors. In the next two weeks, all the rural families in the District will sign this letter, which means that over 80 thousand farmers in Baoshan District will have their own family doctors.

According to the Publish Health Bureau of Baoshan District, these family doctors are members of the rural medical health teams sent by the community medical health service centers in each of the towns. They will provide the farmers in their own area with fundamental medical services, health education, compulsory immunization, maternal and children health care, and the prevention and control of epidemics and chronic diseases based on the 108 standardized clinics (village clinics included), which have already been upgraded.
