Shanghai has spelled out the details of its food and drug safety plan between 2006 and 2010 on its Website.
According to the plan, the city will ensure that at least 95 percent of everyday food products pass routine checks, recall at least 80 percent of food with safety risks, and ensure that mass food-poisoning cases fall below eight cases for every 100,000 residents.
