On the morning of October 29, the first pile of Shanghai Xijiao International Trading Center for Agricultural Products, which is located at Huaxin Town in Qingpu District, was driven, signifying the official start of this project.

The project, covering a total building area of about 450 thousand square meters, consists of three major sections: the wholesale & trading section, the exhibition section and the administration section. The wholesale & trading section is made up of specialized markets for vegetables, fruits, meat, aquatic products, iced and fresh products and flowers. The exhibition section provides a modern service platform integrating the exhibition, sales, business and logistics for domestic and overseas excellent agricultural products and agricultural enterprises. The administration section consists of the inspection center and administrative building, providing services in agricultural products inspection and ensuring the quality safety of agricultural products.
