New Spring Agricultural and Sideline Products Joint Exhibition 2008 was held in Shanghai International Agricultural Exhibition Centre from January 25 to 28. On the first day, Han Zheng, the Municipal Party Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Shanghai, Xu Lin, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, and Hu Yanzhao, the Vice-mayor, came to the exhibition to inspect. This year’s joint exhibition takes “serving farmers and citizens” as its principle and highlights the notions of “helping the farmers enter the market and providing the citizens with safe agricultural products” and “building a platform for farmers nationwide and offering new year’s goods for Shanghai citizens”. About 2,000 quality agricultural and sideline products from over 340 leading agricultural enterprises in the country’s 26 provinces and cities attended the exhibition. Over 70 local leading agricultural enterprises, including Bright Food (Group) Co., Ltd., and agricultural cooperatives also participated in the exhibition.
