This summer, Malu in Jiading District of Shanghai boasts another good place for citizens to taste fruits and have leisure: the city’s first park, which takes grapes as its theme and covers an area of 30 hectares, kicked off yesterday.
The park, built on the basis of a deserted fruit garden, has a total investment of RMB30 million yuan and consists of such scenic spots as leisure grape garden, grape garden on water, garden for popularizing grape-related knowledge, and grape corridors.
It is revealed that, apart from the grape park at Malu in Jiading, other “Happy Fruit Growers” programs are also available to tourists, such as the Peach Flower Village and Seaside Peach Garden in Nanhui District, the Flat Peach garden at Shipu in Jinshan District, the Orange Garden on the Changxing Island in Chongming, the Strawberry Base at Zhaotun in Qingpu District, the Crystal Pear Base at Cangqiao in Songjiang District, and the Specialty Fruit Variety Base in Fengxian District.
