In 2016, the Shanghai 12316 Service Hotline for Agriculture, Rural Areas and Farmers provided inquiry services for a total of 4855 person-times, and arranged 263 activities in rural areas and communities, including 36 sessions of “12316 information benefiting farmer”, and 8 recorded interviews by the talk-show program in Shanghai dialect. Series activities such as appraisal and selection of “top ten solicited articles”, “top ten experts” and “top ten messengers” and “12316 on-spot feeling” were organized. The Selected Questions and Answers of Shanghai Service Hotline for Agriculture, Rural Areas and Farmers in Past Years was compiled and published. The mobile phone APP for Shanghai 12316 Service Hotline for Agriculture, Rural Areas and Farmers was developed. The work to provide information to villages and households was studied and arranged, and farmer-benefiting information society construction and mobile phone application skill training for farmers were carried out. During the year, 265 pieces of equipment were replaced with new ones for G4 agriculture comprehensive information service platform. Agricultural product price monitoring and warning was carried out, and during the year, 84 agricultural analysis and warning messages were submitted to the Market Information Department of the Ministry of Agriculture.
